A Big “Hello Again World” from Chestnut Tree Records!
Sunday September 21, 2008
Our showcase was a success. That is to say, we raised just enough money to keep the label crackin’ for a few more months. It was also alot of fun for everyone on the label to finally meet. And, despite what skeptics were saying, no black holes formed as a result of so much great talent coming together at once in the same place. Thank goodness.
Them Damn Kids from Chicago are releasing “Canicosa” on Chestnut Tree Records. Previously a self-released project, this five song recording features a somewhat more electric, full-band arrangement than heard on previous recordings. You can own ”Canicosa” electronically or in the form of actual physical matter. Go to their page and order up some of the jams.
The Tillers from Cincinnati are going to be playing at the Midpoint Music Festival this month in Cincinnati. If you can find the time to see them, consult the schedule on the right for the particulars, and get your bottoms to their show.
Nathaniel Seer is headed back out on the road this month, check the schedule to the right for dates and locations. As a lucky bonus for all of you, the first show of the tour which takes place at Humblodt Studios in Chicago will be webcast. We will carry that program here on our site as well as provide you a link to watch and chat live from the webcast’s site of origination. What fun, now all you who wish to see Nathaniel Seer live, but live in Australia can do so with out getting dressed or clean or paying for the flight over.
Thats all for now, check back soon.
